WordKeepr is a Chrome extension that scans your Gmail for commitments, promises, and deadlines. This policy explains what data WordKeepr accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Data WordKeepr accesses

WordKeepr requests read-only access to your Gmail account through the Gmail API. Specifically, it accesses:

• Email message content (subject lines, message bodies, senders, and recipients) to detect commitments.
• Your email address, used to identify which commitments belong to you versus others in a thread.

WordKeepr does not request permission to send, modify, or delete any emails.

How your data is used

Email content is processed locally in your browser to extract commitments such as promises, deadlines, and action items. The extracted commitments are stored in Chrome's local extension storage so they can be displayed in the popup, side panel, and Gmail interface.

WordKeepr does not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than showing you your commitments.

Data storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in extension storage. WordKeepr does not operate a server and does not transmit your email content or commitment data to any external service.

Data sharing

WordKeepr does not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party. No personal data leaves your browser.

Data retention

Commitment data remains in your browser's local storage until you uninstall the extension or clear extension data. You can remove all stored data at any time by uninstalling WordKeepr.

Authentication

WordKeepr uses Chrome's built-in identity API to authenticate with Google. Your OAuth token is managed by the browser and is not stored or accessed by WordKeepr outside of making authorized Gmail API requests.

Third-party services

WordKeepr communicates only with Google's Gmail API and user info API to fetch your email messages and email address. No other third-party services are used.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
